Hi, I'm Mary Bessenbacher. And I wonder… do you know what you were doing five years ago today? I do. Because I wrote it down in this… my personal perpetual calendar.It's 366 pages, one page for every day of the year. Each day packed with my family’s GEMs — our “Great Everyday Moments.” And every day I'm reminded of GEMs of the past, each page rippling back through the last 40 years. It's been a powerful tool for me and our family, our BIG family.I'm one of six kids, so is my husband, we have 7 ourselves, with grandchild number 13 is on the way. I've had a full life. And I have a constant reminder of the wonderful life I've lived… right here. It prompts me daily to connect to my past, and to reach out to the people I love. This is my life... This is my story. But what happens if I lose this… If it gets wet... What if my great grandkids can't read cursive?That is why I created Mosaic.

No longer handwritten — now with photos, videos, and voice notes, too. Every day you'll be reminded of a part of your story. And every day you can add to your story.And what’s a good story without good, loveable, colorful (and sometimes quirky) characters? Yes — Mosaic invites family, close friends, and all of our loved ones to build our stories… together. Groups are invite-only. Content is for your eyes only. Private by design. Connected by your inner circle… It’s social media — for sentimental media.

We’re offering a private social media experience that transforms Great Everyday Moments into shared memories… connecting families and friends like never before. Go-To-Market
We’re launching with a proven "freemium" model. Families can start using Mosaic for free and naturally discover the advantages of our premium subscription over time. For our free users, we'll provide essential features like the perpetual calendar, group chat, and photo sharing (plus, we’ll run non-invasive ads tailored to their interests). For our premium subscribers, we’ll enhance their experience with support for video, increased storage limits, and of course, we’ll remove the ads. Our primary focus is new families.As a parent of 7, I understand how quickly life unfolds and how deeply we cherish every moment. We’ll reach these families where they’re already connecting — on Facebook and Instagram— providing a better solution to the imperfect platforms they’re currently relying on. Additionally, we’re nurturing influencer partnerships that resonate with new parents, ensuring we penetrate this demographic effectively and authentically.
The Ask
We’re projecting revenue of $36 million by 2027, driven by ad revenue for our free users at $10 per year per user, and 10% of users upgrading to premium at $30 per year per user.Today, we’re seeking $500,000 in pre-seed funding. This investment will fund R&D, support beta testing, and kickstart our influencer partnerships and social media advertising efforts.I’ve partnered with Fred Cary, whose extensive business experience provides invaluable insights that complement my vision. Alex La Torre, our CTO, brings a wealth of technical expertise that will ensure our platform runs smoothly.
